Ahrend designs durable working, learning and living environments that are stimulating to the people moving around in them. From our experience of many years we have learned how people can concentrate best, how they can communicate optimally and how they can work together effectively. Concretely, with our products, we supply functional and durable design. Contemporary and original products that will last a lifetime. Form follows function and aesthetics follow ergonomics. From a company philosophy that embraces the principle of durability already for decades. This has resulted in many nationally and internationally awarded designs of illustrious designers. And we are proud of it.
Our method
We strongly believe in dialogue and in joined development with our clients. After all, it is the customers of our clients that will have to work, live or learn in the environments that we create and this involvement is defining. The dynamics of the environment forms the base for our method: which people are acting in it, which processes take place in it, which appearance is desired and what is the most efficient layout? Your contribution and expertise will be complemented with ours.
Our process
Our process includes 4 clear phases in which our quality is warranted, the Interior Life Cycle.
Draft. Every organisation, each situation is different, with specific design requirements that are laid down into a programme of requirements. In order to then be translated into clear recommendations with a high output. Smudge plans, interior sketches, three-dimensional designs and propositions for colours and materials all are a part of this.
Realisation. Without you having to bother about anything, the complete design process is managed and supported. Moving and assembly, storage and trade-in of existing furniture. Upholstering, lighting, planting and wiring. Everything is taken care of. You will be able to start working immediately.
Use. Each workplace is supported by advice on usage and posture. Working environment and facilities at work are optimally attuned to the user. Visibly more enjoyment at work, noticeable less absence. Preventive or regular maintenance, which further prolongs the lifetime of the products.
Next Life. However future-oriented our furniture may be, there will be a time at which it will need to be replaced or restored. Used furniture that can be re-used in another form. At your own place or somewhere else, as Ahrend Next Life. And eventually recycled, since recycling is part of our vision on durable entrepreneurship.
